Performance Dates:
Friday, December 9, 2016 7:30 pm 6th-12th grade vocal concert in HS Gym
Thursday, March 2, 2017 7:00 pm 6th-8th grade vocal and band concert in HS Gym
Friday, May 19, 2017 7:30 pm 6th-12th grade vocal concert in Cardinal Gym
Choir Information:
*Students are graded daily on their participation and progress. 10 points are possible each class period.
*Concerts are mandatory as choir is a performance based class. Each concert is worth 100 points. If a student is unable to make a concert due to illness, please contact me before the concert.
Choir Members should wear:
Boys: Black pants, black socks, and black shoes
White button up shirt and dark tie
Girls: Black pants (no yoga pants or skinny jeans),
or a black skirt (at least knee length)
Black closed toe shoes (flats or small heel)
White shirt that covers the shoulders
Grading Scale:
A+ = 100% C+ = 80-82%
A = 95-99% C = 76-81%
A- = 92-94% C- = 72-75%
B+ = 89-91% D+ = 68-71%
B = 86-88% D = 64-67%
B- = 83-85% D- = 60-63%
Activity Fee:
Students in Luverne Public Schools will pay a $35 fee for participation in music activities. These fees begin in 7th grade and continue through high school. Payment of the fee is a requirement for continued involvement in the programs. Please be sure to turn in you activity fee to the activities office as soon as possible. Checks may be made payable to Luverne Public Schools. If you have a concern with the fees associated with participation in High School Concert Choir, please contact Marcia Boeve in the Activities Office for opportunities regarding financial assistance or a fee waiver.
Students in grades 7-12 also need to sign and return an eligibility form. This form can be picked up in the choir room, or in the activities office. Both the fee and activity form must be returned before the student can perform.
Fundraising: The students in the 7th/8th grade choir will participate in some fundraising events this year. These events are coordinated by the Luverne Music Boosters Organization. By participating, the students will earn credit in their own account for future band and/or choir trips.

October 4 Frozen Food Sales
*students earn 30% of their total sale
November 12 Frozen Food Delivery in the morning (approx. 10:00 am)
January Music Carnival Raffle Ticket Sales
*student accounts are credited for every ticket sold after the initial 20 tickets
February 4, 2017 Music Carnival
*every family is required to bring a decorated cake for the cake walk
